1. Why is visiting the dentist so important?

Visiting the dentist regularly is important to maintain good oral health. Many people don’t visit the dentist unless they have a problem. While you may feel like you are saving money, it sometimes ends up costing more time and money. Many dental problems do not show any symptoms until they progress to the advanced stage.

Dental concerns like tooth decay do not cause any pain until they reach the nerve of the tooth. Many patients come to us with huge cavities, without feeling any discomfort at all. When you visit the dentist regularly, they can spot the early signs before the condition advances.

Visiting the dentist regularly is important to prevent any crisis from happening. At TruSmile Dental, we always try to preserve oral health and keep problems away.

2. Do I need to arrive early for my first appointment?

Yes, we request you to please arrive 10-15 early on your first appointment. This will allow us to sort out any required patients forms and formalities. .

3. What do I need to bring in my first appointment?

When you visit us for the first time, please carry the following items with you:

  • - Patient Information form
  • - Identification
  • - Health History
  • - Dental Insurance Card (if applicable)

4. My teeth feel fine. Do I still need to see a dentist?

If you haven’t visited the dentist in the last six months, you should. Even if your teeth feel fine, there might be plaque accumulation below your gum line or a decayed tooth. Many dental problems don’t have any visible symptoms.

Also, a dentist takes care of your oral health completely – including your gums and jaw. Regular visits to the dentist help in identifying oral cancer symptoms, preventing migraines caused by TMJ and much more.

5. What should I look for when choosing the right dentist for me?

Choosing the right dentist can depend on a lot of factors. Some things that you should look for include:

  • - Qualifications and reviews of the dentist and clinic
  • - Conveniently-located dental office to reach easily
  • - Comprehensive dental treatments for the entire family
  • - Accepts insurances so you can avail maximum benefits
  • - Comfortable and advanced dental practice
  • - Safe and well-sanitized dental office

6. At what age should I start taking my child to see the dentist?

Your child’s first appointment at our office should take place around his or her first birthday. We won’t usually perform any treatments during this appointment; it’s more a chance for us to get acquainted, to help your child start adjusting to the routine of seeing a dentist, and so we can make sure their teeth are developing as normal. After this first visit, we’ll need to schedule regular checkups and examinations once or twice every year.

7. I want to know more about changing my smile. What do you suggest?

If you are not happy about several aspects of your smile, we can change it to help you achieve the smile of your dreams. Our cosmetic dental treatments are less invasive and customized according to the needs of the patient.

If your teeth are misaligned, we can help you straighten them with orthodontic treatments. Tooth-colored fillings can conceal any cavities and restore them to resemble a natural tooth. Bonding and veneers can also help in fixing minor issues such as chipped or damaged teeth.

8. My teeth are stained. Can you help?

Yes, we can. Teeth stain naturally over time due to the consumption of staining foods and beverages. Our whitening treatments can help you get a visibly whiter smile in just one appointment. Alternatively, if your teeth are severely stained or discolored, we can conceal them with veneers.

What Our Patients Say About Us

I am not an easy patient or one that’s generally comfortable at the Dentist, so I greatly appreciate the way TruSmile Dental goes above and beyond to treat me as a person, not just another number through the door. The staff are incredibly friendly, the office is immaculately clean and my appointments have been on time and painless. Thank you TruSmile Dental for making going to the dentist a little bit more comfortable! Specially Dr. Gurmukh is very knowledgeable & Approachable!

I would very highly recommend Dr. Sahi and his team. I had dental and orthodontic work done from him and I am seeing amazing results! He is very patient and attentive to the needs of his patients. He thoroughly takes the time to explain procedures, carefully listens to any questions, and concerns. He has a genuine interest in his patient’s wellbeing .His office is very organized and his staff is very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and courteous.I had a phobia for going to the dentist. However from the moment I sat in the chair Dr. Sahi made me feel at ease. He was very professional and skilled and made the entire appointment a breeze. I can't think of someone more qualified to fill his shoes. Best dental clinic I have ever been to!
